Message I wish I had a pic of the tires to show you; I intended to include one but it seems I didn't take it. And now I have new tires so it's too late.

Anyway, the tire looked like it was beveled by a carpenter. The tread was deep and had another 10k miles in it except at the inside 3 inches, where it was about to cord at the edge. I saw no point in the dismount trick, which is what I meant when I said, "My tires can't be rotated."

I am tracking my car this year, and the 3yr old rubber just wouldn't do. It was no longer sticky, even when I had corrected the camber to near zero to use the remaining tread. I'm now running Kumho Victoracer V700 as street tires with a track emphasis. This is "yesterday's race rubber" but I took the higher wear rating as a plus instead of a minus.

Thanks for the advice though.

- John
